The 2.8L Toyota Hilux performs as well off-road as it does as a tradie’s workhorse, and Torqit’s 3” DPF Back Performance Exhaust has the toughness to back it up. Tried and tested in the harshest of terrain, it has proven itself as one of the thickest and most durable mandrel bent systems in Australia.
Our 2.8L Hilux exhaust is manufactured from mandrel bent, 304 grade brushed stainless steel, up to 2mm thick. The thickness prevents the exhaust from cracking when traversing rough terrain, and produces a deep note without cabin drone. Coming standard with a resonator, Torqit’s 3” Hilux Performance Exhaust maximises the sound output of your vehicle. The laser cut flanges are also manufactured from 304 grade steel, and are welded inside and out for extra strength to withstand heavy duty off-roading.
When developing an exhaust system for the Toyota Hilux, we used high flow componentry and thick steel pipe with a wider diameter to improve the performance as well as deepen the note. A big part of performance is controlling your Exhaust Gas Temperature’s (EGT’s), and as the owner of a vehicle fitted with a DPF, no doubt you are aware there are few things which damage a diesel engine quicker than excessive EGT’s. The Torqit DPF back exhaust for the 2.8L Toyota Hilux aims to lower these EGT’s by improving the flow of gases and reducing back pressure, which increases the engine efficiency and fuel economy.*
